James Bond author Ian Fleming’s very own Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver will be auctioned by Bonhams on March 28 for a hefty price. The revolver, presented to Fleming in 1964, is engraved ‘PRESENTED TO IAN FLEMING BY COLT’S PATENT FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. and is said to have retained “virtually all of its Colt high polish blue finish.” The estimated going price runs between £10,000 - 15,000, and for all that cash, the new owner will get a Colt letter of authentification and a 1959 edition of the Goldfinger novel.
If a threesome with Daniel Craig and Eva Green were included in the auction package, that price just might be worth it.
