Yesterday, when Adam Carolla closed his radio show with the usual “Mahalo” sign-off, the lovely Teresa Strasser said goodbye to guest David Allen Grier. At that point, Adam let loose with an ominous sounding, “Oooooh boy, does she mean bye.” It was fairly obvious that something was amiss, but dammit, this is bad news:

Affiliates for the CBS Radio produced Westwood One syndicated morning host Adam Carolla are being told that Friday will be the last day for the show, although “best of” shows will be fed for a month. Carolla is also out at home base KSLX-FM Los Angeles along with the rest of the staff including Tom Leykis. Carolla the former “Loveline” host replaced Howard Stern on a number of then Infinity west coast stations back in 2006 as a part of it’s “Free FM” format . The impending flip from FM Talk in Los Angeles even after KSLX posted some impressive PPM numbers in a few demos, looks like an end, at least temporarily to the talk on FM experiment.

Okay, what the fuck, CBS Radio? Obviously, giving the world more Top 40 shit like Katy Perry will save us all. (Note To Radio Execs: Perry, most decidedly, is not a money maker.) So, you decided to dump all talk radio, including the Adam Carolla Show, which churns out one of the most downloaded talk radio podcasts around. The main reason for this? Carolla is only available live in a very small geographical area, but he has a very far-reaching audience that enjoys the hell out of his show. So, CBS Radio, why did you fail to monetize these podcasts with adverts? I would have gladly listened to thirty seconds of nonsense to get to each segment of hilarious talk, and I am certainly not alone in that sentiment.

Exactly how the hell can the guy who crapped a football for Tom Cruise get canceled? Where am I gonna find breaking drunken douchebag alerts now? Even worse is the reality of no more “Week In Rage” segments, which just might mean my current week-long bad mood, which I’ve been incredibly terrible at hiding, just may become a chronic issue. Stupid CBS Radio fuckers.

Oh, and I’m not gonna listen to any of you lurkers who decide to inform me that Carolla is a male chauvinist pig. Obviously, you’ve never had the pleasure of listening to his dulcet tones, or, even better, maybe I just really like male chauvinist pigs.

Speaking of which, the only remotely amusing and upbeat sentiment that I can end this post with just happens to be an angry-looking Eli Roth in his Tancho days, so here’s a picture of him supporting Carolla & Co. at last year’s premiere of The Hammer. Hell, I can think of a few radio execs that could get to know the Bear Jew’s baseball bat, but I’m gonna STFU for now. Grrrrrr.
