I must confess that, as a Tulsa resident, it’s entirely rare to stumble upon something that’s from my city while surfing the net. In fact, when it happens, I actually become quite excited for just a brief moment. Then, depending on what’s attracting the attention, the shame usually sets in. Sadly, in reference to the above piccie, I have witnessed this shockingly miscalculated demonstration of bravado.

Next county over from where I grew up, the cops convert seized cars into highway patrol vehicles. I got pulled over by a Porsche once. Surreal.

Proceeds of crime should be seized. What’s your problem with that? What, worried that your drug dealer will get pinched next?
Haven’t seen you in awhile, but I do instantly recall that you and I once took issue with each other’s attitudes. Things haven’t changed much, no?
As an officer of the court, I obviously have no problem with poisonous fruit of any sort being confiscated. The idiocy here is the mistaken belief that the practice demonstrated in the above photograph has a deterrent effect, which, in my observation, it most certainly does not.
Says to me “If I deal drugs, I can afford to drive more than a beat up 96 grand-am”

For me, I just hope that is was a crack or meth dealer it was taken from. It’s pretty damn sad having a system in place that gives law enforcement a seize all you belongings free card for possessing a plant that has been used for 1000’s of years and nobody has ever overdosed from. Just another fine example of the punishment being worse than the drug. Gateway drug my ass, allow people to grow reasonable amounts for personal use and they will not have to deal with lucrative people to get it.
Police are mostly just as bad as the “bad” guys. They have a badge and friends in high places, just like some of the drug dealers do themselves. Drug dealers supply what people WANT. When police realize this, they can move on to actually busting people who are doing bad things, instead of putting tags on anyone who does any kind of “drug” as the bad guy. Pot is not a drug, never has been, animals eat it, people eat it, its an herb. Bah, what am i saying, we all know why they make all drugs illegal. MONEY MONEY MONEY! The city gets more for busting drug users and charging them fines than they would if they just freed it an taxed it. Simple as that. Lets not include the fact that MOST drugs open your mind to new ways of thinking and living, ouch, dont want a bunch of self aware humans running amuk trying to be peaceful and friendly with eachother. What would that do to the war marchine????? yikes.. seems its all connected.. to… MONEY MONEY MONEY!!
