
These Tipp-Ex adverts sort of puzzle me because I can’t totally understand how, in the digital age, any real demand for correction fluid exists. Of course, Tipp-Ex now works like a “correction pen” with a foam applicator (they’re getting pervy with us, mates) and can be used on the fly for all sorts of purposes, Nancy Drew.
The adverts themselves are performing that perpetually controversial tango, in which we’re supposed to become outraged at the idea of “erasing” one-night stands, unwanted pregnancy, ill-conceived marriages, and whatnot. So, prepare to feign indignation…. not that this will sell correction fluid.
