Check out this gem of “WTF!?”-upedness, courtesy of Real Clear Politics and the reality-based community. Davis Guggenheim, who directed the first three seasons of 24, interviewed Al Gore for AOL’s “Unscripted” and concluded the interview by asking Gore who ought to play him in the movie based on his life. Gore had the decency not to offer any suggestions (although I’ll bet he was thinking, “Please, please let him say Tab Hunter!”), but Guggenheim jumped right in with his own surprising choice—Kiefer Sutherland. The idiot-savant director then babbled:
“And I thought about it, and I was like, well, it’s kind of like watching Al Gore, going from city to city trying to save the world and no one will listen. And I was like, well, the only difference is really, that with 24 it’s pretend, and this is real.”
Riight. Just for kicks, try reading through this list of cool facts about Jack Bauer and substitute “Al Gore” for “Jack Bauer.” Doesn’t work, I tell ya. Anyway, the obvious casting pick for “Al Gore: The Movie!” isn’t Kiefer Sutherland. It’s the new, high-cholesterol Steven Seagal. For cryin’ out loud, do I have to draw you people a diagram?

arrogant asshat portrays same.
its a fit.
Um, what gino said. Couldn’t have said it better.
I’m gettin’ SNIPPY!…
Mr. Atoz makes a stunningly accurate comparison between Algore and the man who should portray the inventer of these here Internets in the story of his life…….
Only two words come to mind when I look at that picture of Algore. Lock box!
Mr. Atoz has hit it right on the head! Neither Gore nor Seagal can be taken seriously in their respective professions.
Seagal’s acting abilities (momentary pause for retching) are so limited as to be undetectable. Algore as a politician has a vision of the future and wants us to follow him into it. Unfortunately, his “vision” is the same one every Lemming has as it steps off the cliff into oblivion.
Yep, Seagal’s the one for this role.
