Yet another awesome poster has been released for the Grindhouse double feature as well as multiple posters for The Simpsons movie.
Yet I wonder if the long-running cartoon primetime series even warrants a theatre release. One of the major attractions to watching The Simpsons on television is seeing exactly what sort of slightly subtle naughtiness they can get away with on network airtime. In the theatre, this magic would be entirely lost unless their only plan is to make a quick several million off the franchise while it’s still creaking along.
As to the viable nudity option in theatres, we’ve quite frankly already gotten all that we need in the form of the Scotchtoberfest episode as well as many other episodes referenced in the The Simpsons Nudity List. Groundskeeper Willie’s well-toned physique was about all I ever wanted to see as far as naked yellow people are concerned.
