When it comes to what will certainly be the terrific horribleness of a Jenna Jameson feature film doomed to a limited release, let’s give some extra credit where it is oddly due — Zombie Strippers is certainly a more descriptive title than last year’s Zombies, Zombies, Zombies. These things do matter if one doesn’t want to bother with reading the back of a DVD box in the near future. In addition, since I’m not familiar with the latter film mentioned above, all I can do is assume that Zombie Strippers also kicks the slightest of rhetorical asses for attributing its origins to the Theatre of the Absurd. In particular, Zombie Strippers is based upon “Rhinoceros” by Eugene Ionesco, which is source material that I believe Quentin Tarantino paid homage to long ago with From Dusk Till Dawn. However, the world can certainly use more babes of the undead, babes fighting the undead, and whatever endless permutations can come of this concept.
As a lingering issue, I do wonder when Zombie Strippers was actually produced because Jenna Jameson generally looks like hell these days. An eating disorder and shitloads of plastic surgery will do that.

Let me start off by saying my appreciation for Jenna Jameson goes way back. In her early career she impressed everyone with her good looks and enthusiasm, and had a kind of girl-next-door appeal.
Over time, she started changing her appearance, and like some science experiment gone horribly wrong, she’s turned into a caricature of what she started out as. I can’t even bring myself to poke fun at her, there is really nothing funny about it. It’s very sad.
This movie sounds god-awful and I am sure it will be a completely dismal flop. Putting Jenna Jameson in it is a cheap gimmick. If people want to see a good movie with a porn star in it, check out the original Blade (Traci Lords).
On a stranger note, one of the stars of “Meatballs” (yes, the Bill Murray movie about a summer camp) starred just the year before in a bizarre X-rated musical version of Alice in Wonderland. I had a crush on her as a kid and it was a real mind-bending experience to finally track down a copy of “Alice” a couple years ago.
That sounds completely awesome!
Speaking of Traci Lords, she was also in Stephen King’s Tommyknockers, and had an evil, alien lipstick.
Was she? I will have to check that out. She also put out a CD that was not entirely awful. (I’m not sure I can bring myself to call it “good”, but I did listen to it in the car for awhile.)
I’m ashamed to admit to watching Crybaby in an actual movie theatre. I think that was Lords’ intended breakthough role, but I mostly went for the Johnny Depp and John Waters.
