Hard to believe, but Amy Winehouse’s incredible trainwreck of a life is about to become much, much messier. Police have decided they would like to have a little chat with Amy about about the attempted bribery charges against her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, said “chat” to include getting-to-know-you procedures like fingerprinting and a DNA test. Blake is in prison right now awaiting trial on the original aggravated assault charge stemming from the beating of bartender James King last June. Supposedly King was offered $400,000 to change his story, and another $20,000 to leave the country until the case was dropped. According to an anonymous source:
When you think about it, as soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who does precious little for a living, be expected to come up with that kind of money?
Amy is reacting to this latest twist in her downward spiral with her usual cool-headed maturity. If you can believe the British press, Amy and Blake have entered into a suicide pact and will end their lives rather than live apart while they both serve lengthy prison sentenvces. (Amy’s father has denied this story, but it’s being widely reported.) That’s an intelligent response. How could anyone believe that this woman might do something incredibly stupid to keep Blake by her side—like, say, bribing a witness?

I realize it’s just the choice of lens, etc, but that photo is freaking me out. Looks like she has one giant claw.
It’s one thing to go around beating people to a pulp and then trying to bribe your victim to commit perjury so you can skate. It’s another thing entirely to offer them a lousy half-mil — not even that! — to do it. I read that they had to put metal plates in the guy’s skull. For metal plates I’d want a hell of a lot more than $400K. Talk about low class.
Yeah, I heard about the metal plates too. The payoff does sound like small potatoes, but then practically everything about this story is low class.

On the other hand, the bloke is about to get what? $0.00? oh, sure he could sue them, but then:
