It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Today the nominees were announced for this year’s Razzie Awards, an honor almost as widely feared in the celebrity community as a Grammy nomination. Leading the pack this year was Sharon Stone, who received a whopping seven nominations, including Worst Picture (Basic Instinct 2), Worst Actress, and Worst Screen Couple (for her asymmetrical breasts). Sharon last won a Razzie in 1994 for Worst Actress in Intersection and The Specialist. This year she’s up against newcomers Lindsay Lohan (Just My Luck), Jessica Simpson (Employee of the Month), and Kristanna Loken (Bloodrayne).

A surprise no-show at this year’s nominations was Sylvester Stallone, whose record-setting lifetime total of 30 nominations and ten wins sets him up for the Razzie equivalent of the Irving Thalberg Award. But Rocky Balboa surprised everybody by not aggressively screwing the pooch, and Razzie founder John Wilson was man enough to admit it. “At the first of the year, you could not have convinced me it wasn’t going to be a Razzie contender,” Wilson said. “I would like to publicly say that Stallone has made a good movie.” Fair enough. After making movies for thirty years, it would seem that Sly was due.
