You know you’re looking at a truly dysfunctional couple when they not only can’t make their marriage work, they can’t even make their damn divorce work. Sadly, Robin Wright Penn and her shriveled creepazoid of a spouse would appear to be one such couple. Tuesday, Sean Penn went to court and pulled the plug on one of Hollywood’s most hotly anticipated breakups for the second time in slightly over a year. In other words, they’re going to try to make it work. As one divorce attorney (not involved in this particular case) said, “It’s unlikely Sean Penn would request a dismissal for any other reason.”
It’s a fairly safe bet that Sean used his immense charm–invisible to everyone but Robin–to convince her to give him yet another chance. Even Madonna wasn’t this dumb, and she hangs out with Gwyneth Paltrow. To paraphrase a line she might remember: Divorce, Robin. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
