Benjamin Franklin said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Its a shame Angelina Jolie hasn’t learned what Mr. Franklin was talking about oh so many years ago.
With her fondness for saying stupid shit lets hope she never reaches Dixie Chickesqe proportions.
Too late. Well at least she’s kind of hot, which is more than we could say for Natalie Maines, the fat Dixie Chick. Well I guess that’s kind of harsh, she hasn’t always been Fat and she was kind of cute at one time, kind of, just don’t ask me when.
Anyhow, on to the latest comment by Angelina Jolie that I’m sure was “taken out of context”.
Angelina Jolie has hit out at President George W. Bush, accusing him of turning the world against America. Jolie, who spends much of her time traveling the world helping the poor as an ambassador for the United Nations, insists her work has become harder since Bush was re-elected – because no-one she meets can understand why Americans voted for him.
She says, “When I travel, people feel uncomfortable when I say I’m American. They think it’s suspicious that I want to do something positive for them. I think they wonder why the American people re-elected a President who is making foreign policy choices that are affecting other countries in a way that we should question.”
And I’m sure those killed and taken hostage in Iran, killed in Beirut barracks bombing, killed on the USS Cole and on September 11th blame President Bush for our unpopularity back then too. (Sidenote: Was President Bush still a boozer in ‘79 during the Iran “incident”?)
When the hell is Jolie going to learn that she’d be better off seen and not heard? Brad needs to keep her ass in barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen makin’ him sammiches. Like a real man would.
Oh, right, never mind, I forgot who wears the pants in their little family.
Three parting questions:
1) Anyone think this’ll have the same affect on Angelina’s career as it did on the Dixie Chicks?
2) Is there ever a bad time to post pictures of Brad Pitt in a skirt?
3) I’d never noticed Angelina’s nipples were the size of saucers. Okay, that’s a statement, but still, they’re huge.

Actually, getting her pregnant again may not be a good idea. She doesn’t seem to really like the children she actually turns out of her body. The ones she pays for…different story:

I don’t think it will have the same effect as did the comments from the Dixie Chicks.
First, Angelina is out in the world trying to put her money where her mouth is, rather than just simply cashing the checks handed out by corrupt American companies, generated by stupid right-wing American music buyers. (That hypocrisy always did kill me.)
And, second, Angelina’s comments weren’t, seemingly, spoken with the same venomous tone as were the comments by the Dixie Chicks.
Although, clearly, her comments are moronic…it’s difficult to believe that any of the poor starving folks in Africa give a shit about American politics when they’re searching for their next meal… she leaves room for doubt as to whether she’s merely paraphrasing the concerns of others or stating her own unequivocal opinion.
You just really love those Brad Pitt pictures, huh?

The “she’s kind of hot” comment I don’t get. She ONCE had a pretty face and I presume that had at least something to do with a makeup artist but she has had ’skank’ written all over her for the last few years – IMHO.
As for other media outlets, I think they love to bait celebrities knowing that they can get a good anti-American/anti-Bush message out of them. I can only imagine that they are so out-of-touch with reality that they don’t realize that they’re pissing off half of their fan-base. It’s not like the Dixie Chicks have ever recovered much of their fanbase. They would be billionaires by now but chunky girl had to open her mouth at the worst possible time that she could have.
Regardless of your politics, it’s just stupid of a celebrity to piss off half of it’s fan-base. I guess when you’re already rich, you don’t care.
