The teaser poster has been revealed for the Phillip Noyce-directed Salt, which releases in July 2010 and stars Angelina Jolie. Thanks to JoBlo.com, who not only got an exclusive on this poster but also states “[I]t’s to Angelina Jolie’s great credit that she was not only able to step in to star in the film, but become the main selling point.” Damn, if that ain’t the truth, for while the poster doesn’t necessarily do much for me, I absolutely cannot wait to see this movie next summer. A great deal of my excitement comes after reading a 2007 version of the script that was written back when the project was crafted with Tom Cruise in mind for the lead role, and it is a fantastic story. Undoubtedly, Jolie’s takeover has resulted in a few script adjustments, but I can only see things getting even better with her in the ass-kicking leading role.
