Less than two weeks left til the end of the year, and the entire Spears family is working overtime to make sure we all remember 2007 as The Stupidest Year Ever. First came the news that Britney had selected husband #3, a closeted gay male named Sam Lutfi that even K-Fed regards as a worthless character and all-around bad influence. Then, even before we could assimilate the various kinds of idiocy crammed into that single story, Brit’s 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn announced that she’s pregnant. The father is her 19-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge. To learn more, the place to go is definitely TMZ, which is covering the story with absolutely maniacal thoroughness. Exactly how the pregnancy is going to be worked into the story line of Jamie Lynn’s hit Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 is yet to be determined.
At this point, the only one of the Spears women we haven’t heard from is Lynne Spears, the mother of these two fine young ladies. In fact, we might not be hearing anything from Lynne for a while. The release of her book Pop Culture Mom has been placed on indefinite hold.
