Well, isn’t this an interesting development? Just the other day, I made mention that a promotional still from “Dollhouse” seemed to be taking cues from “The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” and now it looks like Joss Whedon, the writer-director of “Dollhouse,” is scooping up actress Summer Glau as well:
Summer Glau is reuniting with Joss Whedon and joining the cast of “Dollhouse” this fall.
The actress who starred in Fox’s now-defunct “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” will have a recurring role as Bennett, a Dollhouse employee who shares a secret past with Eliza Dushku’s Echo.
The actress previously worked with Whedon on “Firefly.” Whedon expressed interest in Glau joining the show back at Comic Con.
Hmm. Could this “secret past” have anything at all to do with a (not entirely extinguished) past lesbian relationship? Just a hunch. Not that television producers would stoop to such a tactic to save face where ratings are concerned.
