Bloody hell, mates. It’s been a brutal few days, and if I attempted to explain why, you probably woudn’t believe ‘em. Either that, or I’m too exhausted to articulate excuses, which I realize that you don’t care to read anyway. At any rate, yesterday saw the Berlin premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, and our blogging BFF, Celebitchy (an American expat living in Germany), had the thrilling experience of photographing the red carpet arrivals, including Brad Pitt, Til Schweiger, Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz, and Mister Tarantino himself. CB took some really incredible pictures, and, further down in the comments to that post, I also am loving her impressions:
Til Schweiger is really hot in person, but I wasn’t surprised as he looks just like he does on film. He was behaving kind of bashful on the red carpet, like he thought he wasn’t a big deal. He’s a huge star here so I’m not sure why he was so shy. It was kind of endearing.
Diane Kruger was really disappointing – not because of her appearance at all – she was gorgeous. She just seemed so smug to me, especially compared to a lot of the other German celebrities we were photographing earlier. (I have even more photos!) Maybe she was in a bad mood but I got a very stuck up vibe from her. Look at the pictures – she’s so blah.
Brad Pitt looked just as I expected him to and he seemed pretty low-key but aware of his celebrity status, as if he’s used to it. It’s like he knows he’s a huge star and he plays the role well but doesn’t let it get to his head. I was impressed with him.
Quentin Tarantino was so cool with everyone and happy go lucky. He tried to say “danke schoen” and mispronounced it, it was really cute. His girlfriend was hot and they had a sexy dynamic together.
I was so happy to see Wladimir Klitschko I cannot tell you. He is such a hero in our house
Now, go check out all of Celebitchy’s pictures!

totally agree. it was not Dianes best day but hey…everybody has one by time right?
as for Til i assume that he wanted to soak up all the funky vibes ala “where’s my f****** 5$ milkshake?”at the red carpet. he’s a huge star here in germany but was probably just stunned by the hype and doesn’t want to step into the focus of the media.
can’t wait…18 days left
