Just when you thought the world of Pop-Stardom was going to shit our Arab brethren have stepped in, yet again, to save the day.

Arab pop stars descended on Khartoum this week to perform concerts to aid war-torn Darfur, in a rare show of solidarity with the millions of Muslims caught in the conflict in western Sudan.

There are of course concerns that Sherine’s tight fitting clothes will upset the gentile sensibilities of the Muslim Populace. My suggestion, a burkini, or maybe we could ship a couple of our faltering starlets (Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Shakira all of the above) over in exchange for some fresh pop-culture-blogging-fodder.

Really think about the exchange for a second. It isn’t like there would be a decline in music quality. Hell there might even be a dramatic increase.
