Lots of rumours have surrounded the haunting spectre that is Ghostbusters III, but when director Ivan Reitman climbed on board, this sequel started feeling all too real, and I gotta admit, that ain’t necessarily a good thing. While I adore Ghostbusters, the 2nd film didn’t have the momentum of its predecessor, and all other attempts (i.e., animated t.v. shows) from the franchise have been pretty crappy. So, it comes with much relief to learn that Bill Murray has not yet signed on for a third movie. Further, there is no script yet, Murray insists that he won’t sign on until he reads a kick-ass script, and producers will never proceed with a third movie without Dr. Venkman.
