On last night’s episode of “Late Night with David Letterman,” Bill Murray (who is still recovering from that Sundance skiing accident) paid a visit. Naturally, the topic of another Ghostbusters sequel came up in conversation:
Letterman: Now, there was a Ghostbusters 2, wasn’t there?
Murray: Technically, yes.
Letterman: And I keep hearing talk about a Ghostbusters 3, but you…
Murray: What a nightmare. Yeah, this is my nightmare.
Letterman: Really? Now, will you be in Ghostbusters 3?
Murray: I told ‘em if they killed me off in the first reel, I’d do it. So, now they’ve figured out a way to kill me off in the first reel. But I don’t think… it’s just crazy talk… it’s the people that are up all night talking this.
See? Dr. Peter Venkman wouldn’t lead us astray. However, the next part of the interview is quite amusing, so check it out below:

Love the outfit. I hope some day to be so rich that I can walk like that and have it make no impact on my income… actually, thanks to Obama, I suppose that’s already true. I’m living the dream!
I’m relieved to hear him say he won’t be part of a GB3 project, though this doesn’t really mean it won’t get made anyway. If you think it’s horrible to contemplate with him involved, imagine, say, Jack Black being involved.
