Think of Amy Winehouse, and then take away the druggie lifestyle, beehive hairdo, and all those pesky associated trappings.

That’s pretty close to Duffy, a UK-based soulful singer similarly influenced by Motown and Blues. However, her sound is unmistakeably unique.

Duffy will release her first single, “Mercy,” on February 25th, but you can listen to it here. Her debut album, Rockferry, launches on March 3rd.

Duffy’s six-week tour through England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland is largely sold out, if that tells you anything at all.

We have a feeling she’s gonna be pretty big.
