A new Japanese horror flick, Exte: Hair Extensions, sheds some refreshing satire on the human hair used to enhance those starlet tresses that are wanting for more.
The main premise of the movie centers around the grudge-carrying hair of a dead young girl who suffered at the hands of a black market human organ racketeering ring. The hair of the corpse continues to grow and, naturally, is harvested by some enterprising soul who sells it to hair salons. The extensions commence random attacks on those who wear said fake tresses.
This movie seems almost too good for words in light of its poor taste, and while it’s not nearly as mind altering as Russo-Japanese Little Red Riding Hood, it does feature Chiaki Kuriyama (Gogo Yubari of Kill Bill: Vol 1). Check out the trailer below the cut!

I so wish I had done the soundtrack.
And speaking as an oldish person, this is fucking frightening on all levels. One must wear a hat at some point. Or pay somebody way more money to photograph one. As it were.
Sounds like a rip off of the Korean movie “The Wig” about a chemo patient who receives an evil wig.
So, did anyone get the reference?
Sweet! Another movie based of Junji Ito’s work!
The 80’s fantasy movie about a kid who loses his hair after freaking out because he entered a painting… or something? They used a peanut butter-based magic elixir to regrow his hair - but he left it on too long and his hair grew about 10 feet in one day. No one else remembers this??
