By now it’s pretty obvious that Britney Spears won’t be getting a MacArthur Grant in the foreseeable future, but the girl does have a certain boneheaded chutzpah. Rumor has it that Britney and Cletus are planning to renew their wedding vows at an elaborate ceremony with hundreds of guests, so Britney can show the world “that she is happily married.” If anyone in Hollywood is contemplating a remake of The Defiant Ones, these two would be perfect for the Tony Curtis/Sydney Poitier roles.

Supposedly the big event will take place shortly after the birth of Spawn of KFed 2, which is slated to make his/her/its appearance October 31. That’s right: Halloween night. I’m beginning to think this stuff is deliberate.
