Today, May Day, is a holiday of international solidarity, which celebrities apparently observe by sitting quietly in their homes and doing absolutely nothing interesting or amusing. While we’re waiting for the usual suspects to crawl out of their holes like Punxsatawney Phil, here’s a pic of Charlotte Church dressed up as a proper English lady of the eighteenth century as part of an ad campaign for Walker’s Crisps. It’s a transformation about as plausible as watching the pudgy (and preggers) songbird stuff herself into the Elastigirl costume from The Incredibles, but she pulls off the look surprisingly well. Now if she could just learn to give up the alky binges, the fistfights, and the foulmouthed rants, she could pass for an actual lady. Where’s Professor Henry Higgins when you need him?

The great Beautiful Atrocities dude once linked to a tv commercial she did for Walker’s Crisps. She looked pretty good.
I’m too lazy to find it…
I think Charlotte’s been under contract to the Walker’s people for about a year now, which is roughly as long as it’s been since BA Jeff did that story about her commercial. That guy needs to return to the blogs so he can keep us up to date on stuff like this. Not to mention the Qaddhafi clan.
