Damn, Hollywood players really are an ungrateful bunch. Instead of thanking audiences, who permitted the cast of HBO’s “Sex and the City” to coast upon nostalgia and reward the franchise for churning out a terribly inferior feature film, Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of them decided to ignore fan feedback and jump headfirst into an even more inane storyline. Then, executive producer and primary decision maker SJP took things personally (and blamed everyone else) when no one wanted to watch SATC 2: The Horse That Broke The Camel’s Back. Now, Chris Noth pulls some attitude with New York Magazine:
[I]t’s a good thing we caught up with Noth at the movie’s premiere last week, because he had interesting things to say about Sex and the City. Take it away, Mr. Big: “It’s over. The franchise is dead. The press killed it. Your magazine fucking killed it. New York Magazine. It’s like all the critics got together and said, ‘This franchise must die.’ Because they all had the exact same review. It’s like they didn’t see the movie. Got any more gum?” (Note: That’s not a reference to anything. He really asked us if we had any more gum.)
Of course, these are the same people that claim that critics don’t fucking matter, yet a failed project must automatically be the critics’ fault, right? Dude, just be grateful that you got paid wayyyy too much money to make these movies and shut your damn mouth.
