Even though rumours persist to the contrary, Kate Moss is not the girlfriend currently appearing in public with Pete Doherty

Doherty is in more trouble, and this time, it’s not even related to drugs. Pete was reportedly with “new girlfriend” Irina Lazareanu, drinking at The Old George Pub, chatting with some fans, and posing for pictures. Yet when an agency photog named Cath Mead began to snap away, Pete allegedly freaked out:

Traumatised Cath, who later reported the incident at Crewkerne police station, claims she had been chatting to Doherty and Irina, 25, just moments before he flipped.

She alleges: “One minute he was OK, then he went crazy. He shouted, ‘I’m going to slit your mother’s throat’, [sic] and screamed, ‘You’re not going to get away with those pictures, bitch.’

She then claims: “He kicked me and pulled my hair then whipped me with my strap and only stopped when a policeman came. Then his girlfriend was hugging me, crying with me and saying, ‘I’m so sorry. He’s drunk, he really needs help.’

Pete then walked away and began to play his harmonica. Earlier that day, he reportedly became agitated when accused of using his police arrests and drug addictions as public relations stunt. We couldn’t blame him for that.
