It took thirty-six hours, but those cravings arrived with a migraine headache in tow. Forgive me, but I’m very bitchy right now. Moreso than usual.
UPDATE 9/6: Be strong, Danielson.

Wished I had a decent suggestion. When I quit a 2 pack a day habit I lived on Excedrin for a couple of weeks and was mean as a rattle snake.
Only thing I can say is it does get easier after a couple of days.
i wasnt aware that a small habit such as yours could be addicting.
i learn something new everyday i guess.
Me neither. I think it’s a habit more than an addiction, and I’m just pissy about not being able to indulge.
It’ll pass like it did years ago.
They say the third day, third week, and third month are the worst. Brace yourself.
When I quit I use to repeat “I wasn’t born smoking I can do this” over and over…..that lasted many years and I am sorry to say that I wil soon have to repeat this step all over again. Good luck.
Like I said I still do an occasional cigar… but I had to use a patch for the cigarette thing. Mrs. RW still smokes. She’s the kind of person who, when she tries to quit, me and the girls give her her cigarettes back so we can get a little peace…
I’ve seen worse. Keep after it!
Hang in there, girlfriend.
Congratulations – you’re doing great !
Sadie, Laser treatment works on 70% of the people trying to quit. If you can’t do it cold turkey…try that. $300 well spent.
I have stopped smoking cigarettes entirely now that I smoke a pipe. Cigarettes are vile in comparison.
Geez, do all blogger/commenters smoke?
I don’t anymore.
I found that the best cure for smoking is a nasty case of bronchitis – the kind where you pray for the sweet relief that only death can bring. Minus a cigarette here or there when I’m out with my one friend who smokes, I haven’t had one in 12 years.
Bully for you, AB!
Now if I can only get rid of my caffeine addiction we’ll all be in good shape….
