The charges and countercharges continue to fly as the surprisingly durable marriage of David Arquette and Courteney Cox slips irretrievably into the past tense. (Although David’s claim that the breakup was due to his wife’s friendship with Jennifer Aniston, and not to his own serial philandering, is a seriously lame countercharge.) At any rate, David is determined to show that he’s in high spirits and still quite the catch, as you can see from the delightfully witty costume he wore to the Lakers-Suns game last night. David’s attempt to boost morale for his team obviously had a powerful effect on somebody, since the Suns went on to shoot 22 3-pointers and defeat the Lakers 121-116. Was it the Suns’ rage at seeing this douchebag seated courtside, or the Lakers’ terminal embarrassment over the same sight? We may never know. Like Courteney’s decision to cut this fellow loose, it’s just one of the mysteries.
