Well, that was quick. The much-maligned reboot of Wonder Woman, which drew attention for David E. Kelley’s convoluted script and Adrianne Palicki’s horrendous costume, will probably not be lighting up your screen anytime soon. After test audiences gave the pilot mixed reviews and a network screening went rather poorly, NBC said “No, thank you” (using the harsh, vulgar language network execs use after they’ve watched a costly pilot that left no one hoping for a second episode) and decided to give the series a miss. Of course, most proposed series never actually get aired. But given the amount of attention this project has gotten, NBC’s veto amounts to cancellation in advance of the pilot, which must be some sort of record:
Technically, there is still hope for the rejected pilot…other networks, including cable channels, still have the chance to pick it up. Though who, if anyone, would pick up a show that wasn’t deemed good enough by a network that’s, well, let’s just say, not No.1, remains to be seen.
So far the consensus seems to be that the project was doomed by a muddled premise and poor writing (plus, let’s not forget, lousy costume design). No one is blaming Ms. Palicki. In fact, the whole notion of the Friday Night Lights star headlining this project conjures up memories of Ben Kingsley in Bloodrayne. Bad news in the short run, maybe, but Palicki deserves something better than this and will probably get it in the not-too-distant future

I’m not blaming her. But I do kind of blame whoever gave her those awful implants.
