I am the worst person at remembering anyone’s birthday, and this ends up getting me in all sorts of troubles because, apparently, this makes me an insensitive person. So, due to the fact that I am a major dork, when Eli Roth mentioned to me that he’d be partying with Quentin Tarantino and Fergie in Vegas (baby, Vegas) tonight, it never dawned on me until now that Quentin and Fergie are both celebrating their birthdays today. Tarantino is turning 45 years old, and Fergie shall be lighting 33 candles on her cake tonight at the Jet Mirage nightclub. Birthday spankings to them both!
In related news, Grindhouse will soon be playing in its original double-bill feature film format “starting in London on March 28 and touring various UK cinemas until June 10.” This experience, like no other, will feature both Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Tarantino’s Death Proof. Perhaps even more exciting will be the inclusion of those faux trailers by Eli, Rob Zombie, and Edgar Wright. Also, go buy the damn DVDs or else.
Yeah, comments are closed on this post, bitches. I hate do do that, but every single time that I mention Grindhouse, I have to listen to all sorts of crap (and spitting commentary from these guys, who I generally adore, but they never know when to stop). Doesn’t mating season start soon for LLamas?
UPDATE: US Weekly gives a brief wrapup of the joint birthday party. Mmmm, cupcakes.
