Really he is and he has a deep understanding of how religion affects everybody. Sure John, that’s the reason people dislike you, they’re religious and you’re gay, the two just don’t mix. That’s the only explanation for it. People disliking you has nothing to do with your proclivity for making off the wall comments and being overbearing with your views, like say on, um, religion or the way people are dressing.
It’s not my goal to start a religious pissing contest here, just to illustrate that Elton John is a raging religophobe, John Lennon is still dead and Yoko Ono is a CIA operative who is responsible for all the world’s problems.

As a Southern Baptist living on the gulf coast of Texas, I can honestly say that I’ve never heard anyone in the church criticize gay people. Hell, I don’t even know how you get invited to the meetings.
