As the new James Bond, Daniel Craig just can’t catch a break from 007 fans, and it certainly hasn’t helped that Craig admitted that he hasn’t been to the theatre to see a 007 flick since 1973. However, his costars are quick to defend his fitness for the role, and the very attractive Miss Eva Green states her very own opinion of Craig:
“Daniel is a fantastic actor ”’ very intense, very special. There is something ‘broken’ about him that is quite attractive.”
Further, co-star Judi Dench (sooper seekrit service boss M), whose dressing trailer was situated across from Daniel Craig’s, was shocked when she happened to catch a glimpse of Craig’s enormous penis:
“It’s an absolute monster! Maybe I shouldn’t have said that. How uncouth of me!”
Indeed, Casino Royale does feature multiple racy scenes between Eva Green and Daniel Craig, and reportedly, both parties go fully nude to make the sex more realistic. That should bolster Craig’s masculinity rating a bit, eh?
Likewise, the early reviews of Casino Royale are looking surprisingly good:
- The Daily Telegraph: “It’s a terrific debut. From the very start, he steps with full assuredness into Sean Connery’s old handmade shoes.”
- The Times: “His main asset quickly becomes evident. He can act.”
- Daily Mail: “Daniel Craig is probably the best and most serious actor to have been cast as 007 and this film makes full use of his range.”
- Empire Reviews: “Daniel Craig has done more with James Bond in one film than some previous stars have in multiple reprises.”
- Emanual Levy: “Daniel Craig gives a stunning performance (the best Bond since Connery).”
- Guardian Unlimited: “Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond, and all those whingers and nay-sayers out there in the blogosphere should hang their heads in shame.”
Yes, considerably. This prequel to the series reaches back to the depths of Bond’s origins as a spy as well as his character. Fewer gadgets and a more vulnerable hero strip the tightly weaved plot down a bit to show us how Bond developed his steely reserve in his later adventures. One line that that I’m looking forward to hearing is a moment mentioned by several reviewers – Craig’s answer when asked whether he wants his martini shaken or stirred – “Do I look like I give a damn?”
Below are more photos of Eva from her Arena Magazine shoot. Do enjoy.

UPDATE: Celebitchy has advised us that the enormous penis that Judi Dench observed won’t be visible in the actual film due to the persistent employment of a penis double. That’s gotta be one hell of a job interview process.

Mr. Diggler, paging Mr. Dirk Diggler.
Has anyone seen Mr. Dirk Diggler.
Maybe they used the prostetic peni from Marky Mark’s Boogie Nights performance.

I would still rather see 117 year old Sean Connery but that has nothing to do with New Guy.

Denise Richards is very overrated and annoying.

Daniel Craig has some big shoes to fill and I can’t wait to see Casino Royale. A new Bond is always interesting.
