Forbes has an article online about which Hollywood stars are the best investments, and it makes for interesting reading. Leading the list is Matt Damon (Matt. Damon. SorryTeam America ruined his name for me), whose films have earned an average of $29 for every dollar he’s paid. The next best investment is Brad Pitt ($24 per dollar paid), followed by Johnny Depp and, surprisingly, Vince Vaughn (Both at $21 per dollar paid).
The top female star by this measure is, believe it or not, Jennifer Aniston ($17 per dollar paid). This has got to kill second-place Angelina Jolie ($15 per dollar paid). Right at the bottom of the list we find Jennifer Lopez and Russell Crowe, who might want to consider finding alternative day jobs. Of course, the list didn’t include every single name in Hollywood. Based on her last couple of films, I’m fairly sure that Lindsay Lohan ranks well below J-Lo. Investors would probably be better off giving their money to shills for the Nigerian Oil Ministry.
