Gerard Butler possesses the amazing ability, much like Dwayne Johnson, to charm the pants off almost any heterosexual woman, and his talents don’t stop there. In the past year, audiences have watched Butler convincingly romance the hell out of the manliest of women and even a bona fide lesbian. How Butler does it is anyone’s guess. Could it be the ubiquitous Scottish burr, outspoken love for karaoke, or notoriously beastly manners? We’ll never know, but Butler must certainly have been hitting the roofies by agreeing to the challenge of seducing Katherine Heigl’s big fucking mouth in The Ugly Truth. Our BFF, Celebitchy, points out that The Ugly Truth‘s clichéd plot is “not cute and looks like it will go down like dry toast.” Certainly, Heigl’s insufferable nature knows no end. Similarly, Butler’s Scottish accent just don’t stop for any film role, Spartan nor American, Irish nor English, rain nor shine. So, nothing new here, but a bunch of idiots will still want to see this film.

Yeah he must have been really crazy…look at her…how hideous. The woman is gorgeous and a wonderful actress…must been a really tough decision to work with her. Not. Any actor with a brain would jump at the chance.
My son in law is from Glasgow. I don’t see anything sexy about him. Shit – I have to get lit in order to understand the beastie.
This review is thoroughly offensive, and reeks of jealousy, bitterness and envy. The author obviously must be completely devoid of any looks or talent, in their own right.
My conclusion: This will be a highly entertaining and successful movie, without a doubt.

Off topic but must be addressed:
The Crying Game was not at all shocking, at least not to women. Only men got suckered into that one. Then, they completely omitted an Oscar worthy performance which resulted in a real shock in the form of Ed Norton’s ‘Aaron Stamper’ in Primal Fear.

Count me in as one of the idiots who will be first in line to see this film. It looks like a fun movie, which all of us could use right now. I think it will do well in spite of the naysayers like you.
I think it will do horribly because it looks like a crappy movie. Not because of Katherine Heigl’s dumb butt but because it just looks like a crappy romantic comedy. A whole bunch of them start coming out this season so that women can drag their boyfriends/husbands out to see it to spend time together during the holidays.
