Although rumours of marital issues between the insufferable Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin are nothing new, it seems trouble may truly brewing in GOOP-land. My own suspicions were renewed with one of Gwyneth’s recent newsletters, which selflessly solicited advice on how to keep a marriage happy (for her readers, natch). Now, Star magazine claims to have an exclusive about Martin enjoying a snog with a different blonde actress:

[T]he Brit singer was locking lips with his better half’s good friend, Kate Bosworth!

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” an eyewitness tells Star in our Nov. 16 issue. “There was Chris totally making out with Kate in front of other people. At first I thought it might be Gwyneth, but when she came up for air, it was clear the woman was Kate!”

It sounds like Kate Bosworth isn’t such a good friend after all, eh? And while we’d never actively condone adultery, we certainly do sympathize with Martin if, say, he wanted to actually enjoy a semi-public make-out session for a change. After all, his own wife won’t even hold hands in public or lower herself to walk the red carpet with her own husband. Unbelievably, Gwyneth wasn’t always a total bitch about such things. Too late now, perhaps.
