Surprisingly, it’s got nothing to with with the food dished out in the restuarants he visits. Instead, it’s one of his numerous television shows that has his gut tied up in knots. Kitchen Nightmares, the Fox show where Ramsay tries to save poorly run restaurants from going under, is proving to be the wrong venue for Ramsay’s patented style of screaming abuse. Unlike the contestants on Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay has to deal with real people:

You can’t just be too blase with this. It’s highly emotional, packed with jeopardy. This is their livelihood at stake! I have an ulcer. I only got told recently. No wonder.”

First his balls, now his stomach. Who knew being a cook was such a high-risk profession? Still, nice to know that under that foul-mouthed, abusive exterior, Gordon Ramsay actually has a heart. And a stomach. I’ll bet that last organ is something of which he’s all too well aware.
