We’re a little late to the party on this one, but it wouldn’t be right to let Bats Day at Disneyland slide by without a mention. The annual event draws a crowd that you normally wouldn’t associate with the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, or the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. (The Enchanted Tiki Room, however, might fit right into the goth aesthetic.) This year Bats Day was held last weekend, and the scorching 100-degree heat didn’t dissuade the faithful from wearing their most elaborate and stiflingly uncomfortable outfits. (For a truly nifty picture gallery, go here.) Sadly, Babs Day—a complementary celebration that organizer Amanda Blackburn imagined would see goths and preppies strolling arm in arm down Main Street, USA wearing t-shirts that said “No One Understands Our Love”—failed to materialize. Still, there’s always next year.

The Holy of Holies.
Flea, I assume that you’re referring to the Enchanted Tiki Room?
Actually, I was remiss in not including the official Bats Day website in the links. You can find roughly a gazillion photos of Gothketeers here:

I exaggerated ever so slightly. Wave-Gotik-Treffen is the Holy of Holies. But the Haunted Mansion line-up on Bats Day must be very close.

That pic reminds me of the new Spice Girls promo pic, kind of scary
