Okay, I’m gonna go out on a tenuous limb here and say that Katie Holmes looks extremely happy in this photo. In fact, she looks really fucking happy. As always, Tom looks utterly fake, clueless to reality, and slightly sociopathic, but I’m focusing more on the Holmesbot at present. This Broadway debut of hers has been given far more press than it deserves, and dammit… now I have to be an asshole. Moreso than usual, I mean.

Seriously, I don’t understand why everyone is so bloody worried about whether or not Katie Holmes is trapped within her marriage to Cruise. Katie was a grown woman when she “converted” to Scientology, and that’s her own stupid choice to live with. However, as the wife of Tom Cruise, she is basically royalty as far as the cult is concerned. Along with Suri, the Holmesbot lives a very extravagant lifestyle that is quite different from, say, any solitary member of the Sea Org. These lowly cult members are forced to work with barely any compensation, night and day, and in any weather. Those are the people we should be worried about, not some spoiled bitch who stars on Broadway for purposes of self-validation and regularly indulges in $75,000 handbags.

I do strongly believe in Anonymous and their cause, but I also think it weakens their position to bother demonstrating at Katie’s Broadway opening, which just gives the other side more ammunition. Anonymous is not a petty nuisance or mere thorn in the too-thin skin of Scientology. Instead, Anonymous is a worthy opponent that should use its collective expertise to concentrate upon the real victims and, by extension, the future victims of this bullshit religion.
