Tom Cruise, along with Suri, Connor, and the Holmesbot did the Fourth of July thing in Telluride, Colorado. Their motley crew appeared casually ruffled, but, as with everything Cruise-related, this was, quite obviously, a very carefully orchestrated appearance meant to demonstrate the “normalcy” of Cruise life. Naturally, Suri fares the best here with her kicky tartan ensemble topped off by a two-pronged American flag headband, and our favourite two-year old Scientologist even covers up daddy’s mouth in a few of the pictures below. That’s our girl! Meanwhile, Holmesbot and Connor are rockin’ the Dawn of the Dead look. The Cruise actually looks sort of sexy here — not in a Hottest. Nazi. Ever. sort of way — but Tom is seriously giving off a Brokeback Mountain vibe, and I can totally see he and Jake Gyllenhaal hitting the sheets for a sequel thing. Hey, it could happen!

Elsewhere, in the land of bad ideas, Will Smith opened his big mouth about Swordfight! The Movie:

Will Smith is planning to make a film with Tom Cruise. The Hancock actor revealed he has been trying to find a suitable project for them to star in, but has so far been unsuccessful.

He said: “Me and Tom have to work together. I think that would just be genius. We have been pitching some ideas back and forth and trying to find a movie that will be big enough for both of us.”

Will then goes on to describe Daniel Day Lewis as “a [sexy] beast.” Dayum!
