Seriously, Fuck Tom Cruise. Let’s talk about that little “religion” of his, whose goons took down the YouTube account of Scientology’s principal critic yesterday. Tory is, of course, back up in full operational mode, but the prevailing theory is that Scientology’s “OSA” (Office of Special Affairs) employed the highly sophisticated strategy called “massive flagging.” Hmm… perhaps their lawyers were already busy filing nonmeritorious claims against other unlucky souls.
If you’re interested in the process by which Tory retained her YouTube account, read here, there, and over yonder. (Thanx to former Scientologist RW for sending all this info to me.)
Of course, this also provides a nice opportunity to recap Jason Beghe’s public outing as the first celebrity Scientologist to leave the cult. After $1 million and countless Scientology courses, Beghe rose to the level of an OT5 auditor, so he is quite familiar with the inner workings of the cult. His theory about Tom Cruise is an interesting one, which climaxes after Tom became proactive in the cult after several years of low activity:
“He was brought back in around the time of his divorce from Nicole Kidman. And then they put him through something called Ethics Cycle after Penelope Cruz left. That’s when you make amends for having not been in it for a while.”
Cruise’s Ethics Cycle, Beghe thinks, would account for the campaign Cruise went on while filming War of the Worlds, through the meeting, courting and recruiting of Katie Holmes, the fight with Matt Lauer on “Today” and telling Diane Sawyer what kind of Scientologist he was on ABC — not to mention the couch-jumping on “Oprah.”
“Scientology,” Beghe says, “delivers what it promises under the guise of tearing away falsity, neuroses, psychoses. It creates a brainwashed, robotic version of you. It’s a ‘Matrix’ of you, so you’re communicating with people all the time using Scientology. So we’re seeing you ‘via’ Scientology. And it creates an addiction, so you come back for more.”
Unfortunately, I’m running seriously short on time today and must depart for a few hours. However, I can refer you to a post wherein I discussed Cruise’s transformation at length. Be back later, and may the force of Zenu be with you.
That is hilarious. Antagonizing the press worked so well for the Bush administration, I am sure that Scientology is just a few threats away from silencing all opposition!

Scientology just a couple of hours ago had the account of the emmy-award winning producer who was going to publish the full Beghe interview shut down.
News outlets waiting to report on the interview have been stiffed, and Scientology has basically just blown its foot off.
Stay tuned.
