Coming up on the Sundance Channel: more animal sex. Apparently viewers liked Isabella Rossellini’s Green Porno shorts on the mating habits of various creepy-crawlies (the snail and earthworm episodes will haunt your dreams), and now Sundance is picking up the series for a second season. This time around, Isabella starts by asking, “Why Vagina?” (seems like a silly question, really), and then heads out to sea. Subsequent segments will put viewers in bed with whales, limpets, starfish, barnacles, and anglerfish.
At any rate, congrats to Isabella Rossellini. The series is creative, informative, and skin-crawlingly entertaining, and Isabella herself seems to be a charmingly quirky individual, not quirky in that toxic Courtney Love manner. Let’s hope Green Porno gets picked up for several more seasons. Lord knows, the animal kingdom provides plenty of material for Ms. Rossellini to draw on.
