Chris Cornell, former Seattle scenester and lead singer of the now-defunct grunge band, Soundgarden, was snapped with his son at FAO Schwartz in Manhattan. Of course, I didn’t recognize the dude because he’s actually smiling. Awwwwwww.

On a related note, Cornell recently worked with Timbaland to produce several tracks for Cornell’s solo album. After peeking at this list of musical acts, mostly R&B, rap, and pop, that have collaborated with Tmbaland, Chris Cornell is the only post-grunge, alternative act among them. So, I guess that’s probably who Billy Corgan was talking about in regards to “embarrassing” musical comeback tactics.
