Have you seen my Pussycat?

By Phin in Pussycat Dolls, Television

The Pussycat Dolls are set to star in a new “reality” TV show on the TV network CW as they search for their seventh band mate.

The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll will pit hookers street walkers working girls potential band mates against each other as they compete to join the “band”, if by band you mean shrill sounding strippers jabbering into a microphone.

They’re breaking new ground here. Their show is nothing like American Idol / Rockstar INXS / The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search, because they’re going to focus on “girl power”.

Speaking to Variety magazine, Dawn Ostroff, CW’s president of entertainment, said: “At its core, this show goes beyond just finding a new Pussycat Doll; it’s about female empowerment, self-discovery and personal transformation.”

Funny, I’ve heard strippers exotic dancers talk about being empowered too. I love it when bands transcend from musicians into roll models. Let this be a lesson to you ladies and the parents of daughters. Skip the higher-education route and invest in pole dancing classes, the ole “you want it but you can’t have it” route it the way to empowerment and enlightenment, being bendy is also a big help so don’t skimp on the yoga classes either.

The Pussycat Dolls were created 10 years ago by their pimp the band’s manager Robin Antin as a burlesque act that featured a rotating roster of talent. Their debut album, “PCD”, released last September, has sold an estimated 4.7 million copies worldwide and with any luck it’ll take them another nine years before another CD is released.

Remember ladies Girl Power = Skimpy Clothing, spouting derogatory lyrics towards other chicks and touching your naughty bits on camera. So send in the tapes, we’ll, um, pre-screen them for the dolls.

Is it me or do several of the “dolls” look like post-op trannys (click’em the picture to em’biggen)?

Why do they need a seventh? They already have six too many.

Manufactured sexuality is not appealing. Some Svengali somewhere is clearly trying too hard.
