Joaquin Phoenix was named Favourite Leading Man at the 2008 People’s Choice Awards, and he chose to write his acceptance speech on a series of placards. Ordinarily, I would assume that Joaquin meant to misspell his name as a cutesy joke, but then again, we are talking about Mister “Glad He Ate Her.” He does look pretty wasted. Really, it’s difficult to tell in such a situation, but we wish him the best and, of course, a hearty congratulations.
