Those hoping to find out if Nancy Callahan finally takes it off in Sin City 2 will have to wait a while longer, but in the meantime you can have the questionable pleasure of seeing Jessica Alba play a hyper-brainy math nerd. In An Invisible Sign of My Own, Alba plays a math whiz who… Oh, let’s just let IMDb summarize it:
Math whiz Mona Gray has elected to systematically withdraw from life after a mysterious illness leaves her DAD all but a shell of his former self. When she gets a job as the math teacher at an elementary school, she discovers she has an unorthodox talent for teaching and finds herself thrust back into life again, with children to care for, a man to love, and a reason to live…
This doesn’t sound like surefire box office magic, but it does play up to Alba’s well known irritation with being more famous for her excruciatingly hot body than for her negligible acting skills. It’s a safe bet that no actual math will be done in this movie. But it’s easy to tell that Jessica’s character is, like, super smart, because her fashion shit’s all retarded. Also, she probably talks like a gay dude.
