Hide the pistol

By Phin in James Blunt, Music

Via Allahpundit we learn that science had named the most depressing song ever. The winners were The Verve.

Personally I’d have handed the award Jeff Buckley’s rendition of Hallelujah.

And just remember you can’t hug people with nuculare nuculeer nuclear arms and James Blunt is a bitch.

No way can Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah be more depressing than Leonard Cohen’s very own.

Even though I grew up and got SO over Radiohead, their Motion Picture Soundtrack is still the saddest poprock song I’ve ever had the misfortune of hearing. I made the mistake of first listening to it when I was a bit under the weather, and I almost threw up out of utter depression.

..or Jeff Buckley’s “Last Goodbye” is pretty depressing.

I sure miss him! He totally rocks my world, in a totally “I did girls” sort of way.
