Season 3 of Showtime’s “Californication,” starring David Duchovny, begins on September 27. In this season, Hank Moody faces up to his latest book’s failure and, subsequently, heads to university as a so-called professor. Yeah, we all know how well that is gonna work out, but it least it will be entertaining to watch Hank get fired for banging the Dean’s sophomore daughter or something equally incriminating. For this season’s promos, Hank dresses up a bit more than usual, but, in all likelihood, the blazer and shiny shirts will soon disappear. After all, the Hank Moody Uniform™ is alive and well in Season 3, Episode 2:
Inevitably, the upcoming episodes will see Hank juggling his sex life along with his relationships with ex-girlfriend Karen and daughter Becca. With any luck, that puking Scientologist will be back as well. In the meantime, you can play the Hank Moody video game and check out the promos below:

I still have never watched this show. My question is: assuming the viewer does not want to have sex with David Duchovny (let’s further assume that the viewer will not watch the show just for any assorted female eye candy either) — is it worth watching? Or is it just a bunch of people acting like people in LA and assuming it is somehow amusing? Because I *work* with people from LA, and it is much less entertaining when you have to deal with it every day.
I want to have sex with David Duchovny and that’s why I can’t watch repeats of X-Files. I wasn’t going to watch Californication because I couldn’t go down that painful road again but it’s not a bad show. From a female perspective, Season 1 was a bit much because every episode was just another random woman fucking him but Season 2 was much better.
I’d like to punch his daughter but I like the other characters.
Oh yes… Duchovney….
I’ve never seen the show but thanks for the visual reminder!
