Steve Buscemi has been the target of death threats from Islamist extremists in connection with Interview, a film he’s currently directing and starring within. His co-star, Sienna Miller has also received several death threats warning her to leave the film or “she will be sorry.” Buscemi has pledged to protect the cast and crew of the film with the best security in America.
The film has nothing to do with Islam at all, but rather, it is a tribute to Theo van Gogh’s, the Dutch director who enraged Islamic extemists with his 2003 film, Submission: Part I. Van Gogh was shot and killed in 2004 by one of these maniacs.
Though we all know it isn’t politically correct to offend Islamofascists, let us hope that Hollywood actually takes a stand and helps protect Buscemi and his associates. Cue Southpark theme song.

Ya know, this is getting old really fast. Doesn’t help that every time one of those nuts throws a fit, everyone backs down.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Spielberg says he doesn’t know any Steve Buscemi & not to bother him anymore. Have a nice day.”
Go, Steve!
If I was a betting woman, I wouldn’t put my money on Hollywood to do the right thing.
I may be the last person to defend Hollywood. But if Buscemi is making this movie, there may be hope after all.
He was an NYC firefighter in his life, no? Regardless, my respect meter just went way up.
Yep. He was indeed an NYC firefighter. He also averages four movies per year and has a total of 80+ under his belt.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
