Jack White really doesn’t know the meaning of taking time off to relax, does he? Now, he who never rests — along with the indespensible help of Meg White — has recorded a White Stripes live album, which is entitled Under Great White Northern Lights and can now be streamed in its entirety beginning today at NPR’s White Stripes listening party. Stripes fans are also advised to pay attention to their local theaters for the film documentary version of Under Great White Northern Lights. Curiously, the documentary is described as “a brother and sister’s journey across the Great White North,” which is odd because the duo have long since been outed as ex-spouses rather than siblings. I suppose that Jack’s eccentricity probably dictated the tagline, but whatever the case, the documentary is (hopefully) on its way to a theatre near you.
