Michael Jackson, a man who’s the same age as Madonna, younger than Cher, and who looks older than their combined ages of 137, is finally beginning to admit what everyone else knew years ago: his pop career is finished. The former singer has split with Two Seas, the Bahrain-based recording outfit he hooked up with after fleeing the United States, and cancelled the album he was planning to release. In a completely unrelated development, Kevin Federline has decided to enhance the quality of his upcoming album Playing with Fire by cutting “Popozao from the playlist.
KFed’s decision leaves me torn. On the one hand I’m sure he made the right choice, and eliminating about eleven more tracks would make it the best album KFed is capable of making. On the other hand I feel a perverse sense of anticipation about this release. It’s not every day that an album of such majestic crapitude actually makes it to the stores. In terms of both artistry and sales, I fully expect Playing with Fire to make Paris Hilton’s CD look like Dark Side of the Moon.
