Although the prospect of signing onto the latest and greatest Jennifer Aniston romcom predisposes one to various humiliations — including but not limited to being contractually obligated to fake chemistry on the red carpet to (1) Sell movie tickets & (2) Make Brad jealous (a calculated yet ultimately ill-advised move similar to releasing a perfume during the same week as Angelina’s latest action flick) — actors continue to do just that. In fact, I’m slightly amazed at the relative caliber of those (Jason Bateman, Patrick Wilson, Jeff Goldblum & the nutty but admittedly talented Juliette Lewis) who joined Aniston for The Switch, which was previously known as The Baster, which gave moviegoers perhaps an all-too-accurate description of exactly how Jennifer Aniston’s character reportedly gets pregnant. What a horrible premise for a feature-length film. Personally, I can’t see how anyone would voluntarily watch this movie unless Juliette is the one shoving the baster all up in there. Hey, that would be entertainment!
