Not even Jessica Simpson’s home state of Texas will show up to see her latest film. As a special treat before the DVD treatment, the much anticipated Blonde Ambition came to eight movie screens in Texas, and the homecoming was uncharacteristically frigid even for the warmer latitudes. Look for Ashlee Simpson to reclaim her status as the favoured Simpson daughter as the somber news hits Papa Joe:
Blonde Ambition averaged $48 per screen on Friday for a total box office of $384. Based on an $8 ticket price, that means that 6 people paid to see the movie at each of those theatres, and only 48 people went to see the movie! That’s amazing! One of the worst performances a movie has ever had.
Oh, don’t look so smug. Nicholas Cage haters won’t be too pleased to that the Elvis wannabe has achieved his highest grossing day ever (translating to “his all-time best opening weekend”) at the box office.
So, we’ll get less Jessica Simpson and more Nicholas Cage. This seems like an even trade off. Maybe.

I’m sure she’ll have a long and illustrious film career.
Don’t look at me like that. I’m talking about the other side of Hollywood. Think Jessica Does Dallas (Cowboys). You know pr0n is in her future, once she tanks Romo’s career.
